About NetBlocker

NetBlocker is a macOS utility developed and operated by Hugo Fernandes in Portugal. It lets you select apps and block new network connections associated with their signed identities and related components.

Requirements and installation

NetBlocker requires a supported Apple silicon Mac and a compatible version of macOS. Because it uses Apple's Network Extension framework, macOS must approve the system extension before protection can run. You are responsible for keeping your Mac, data, and backups secure and for installing the app only from a source you trust.

Seven-day trial

The trial provides the app's features for seven days without requiring payment details. It is limited to one trial per installation or device. Reinstalling the app does not create a new trial. The trial requires periodic online validation. When the trial ends or cannot be validated, protection turns off and apps in the blocked list can access the internet.

Purchase and lifetime license

A one-time purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to continue using NetBlocker without a subscription. “Lifetime” means there is no recurring charge and your license does not expire merely because time passes. It does not guarantee that NetBlocker will be developed forever or remain compatible with every future version of macOS or Mac hardware.

Your purchase is subject to the price, currency, taxes, and activation limit shown at checkout. You may deactivate a licensed Mac before activating another one, subject to that limit. You must not publish, sell, share, or misuse your license key.

Payments and refunds

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and processes payment, tax, receipts, and refunds. Any refund request is subject to the terms presented at checkout and rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law. If a refund or chargeback invalidates a purchase, the associated license may be disabled.

How blocking behaves

NetBlocker blocks new connections. A connection already open when a rule is added may continue until it is closed or the app is restarted. Apps can use helpers, shared processes, changing signatures, or system services that affect how accurately a connection can be associated. Blocking connectivity may also cause an app to show errors, lose features, or behave unexpectedly.

You decide which apps to block and are responsible for testing the result. Do not rely on NetBlocker as the sole safeguard for critical, emergency, regulated, or high-risk systems.

Updates and online checks

NetBlocker may check for updates and periodically validate trial or license status. A paid license currently includes a limited offline allowance, after which protection may turn off until validation succeeds. We may provide fixes, compatibility updates, or new features, but do not promise a particular release schedule. Some updates may be necessary for security or compatibility.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• use NetBlocker unlawfully or to interfere with systems you do not own or control;
• circumvent trial, licensing, activation, or security controls;
• redistribute, sublicense, sell, or make the app or a license key available to others; or
• reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Ownership

NetBlocker, its website, branding, design, and software remain the property of their respective owner. These terms grant a right to use the app; they do not transfer ownership or intellectual-property rights. Apple, macOS, and other product names belong to their respective owners.

Availability and warranty

To the extent permitted by law, NetBlocker is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, meet every requirement, or block every possible connection. Nothing in these terms excludes guarantees or rights that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or effects caused by blocking an app. Our total liability relating to NetBlocker will not exceed the amount you paid for the license giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate a license affected by fraud, a reversed payment, key sharing, or a material breach of these terms. You may stop using NetBlocker at any time. Provisions intended to survive termination, including ownership, warranty, and liability terms, remain effective.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms when NetBlocker or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be highlighted on the website or in the app when appropriate. These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes.
